Nice and affordable place to stay in Tokyo, well located close to the subway.

Pros: The easy access with the subway. That was also really clean and a so good money invested :)

Cons: The walls are really thin, you can hear everything from in and outside. Knowing that all guests are jetlagged, not lot of people are sleeping at night so bring good ear plugs. And rooms are quite small, for me alone I booked a 2-people room. 3 would have been perfect :)

Value for Money : Close to Station, Near Convenience Stores.

Pros: The room is quite spacious for us 3, there's a refrigerator and a microwave we can use. The warm water is flowing nicely, and the bathroom amenities are perfect. Body wash, conditioner, shampoo, even face wash. It's 5 minutes away from the ikebukuro C1 exit if I'm not mistaken. And 5 minutes away from convenience stores and even a beauty store. Very great.

Cons: They only give us one set of eating utensils despite there being several plates. I guess I could've gotten it in the kitchen, but as the Annex is in a different building, it becomes a bit of a hassle.

Great for budget travelling

Pros: The location is great and it is a great budget option for those not as picky for their accommodation. The shared kitchen is a nice touch and although bathrooms and showers are shared they are impeccable and very clean. The tatami mats and futon was surprisingly comfortable and the ability to control temperature in the room via the air conditioner was amazing as in other bigger hotels this is not an option in winter.

Cons: I would like to warn some people that most of the rooms are up a steep set of stairs and if this is not for you I would not recommend as they can be a hazard going down.

Conveniently located near the train station.

Pros: Location and staff: The place is ideal for anyone looking for accommodation near Shinjuku. Itโ€™s not overly crowded like Shinjuku itself, yet you can easily get there for shopping or exploring.

Cons: The reception area feels a little too small when there are multiple guests. (But I think this is quite common in Japan) Also, the bathroom has a vanity area (separate) attached to it. Some guests come out of the shower and dry themselves in the vanity area, which makes the whole space quite wet. This isnโ€™t ideal, as the vanity area is also used by guests who are using the toilet and for hand or face washing. It may be helpful to place a notice asking guests to dry themselves inside the shower area rather than in the vanity section.

Pros: Great location, many convenient stores and restaurants near by. 550 away from Ikekuburo station where you can find almost any kind of shops and restaurant. Would consider to stay here again next time I come to Tokyo.

Cons: There is no elevator so you need to carry your luggage up the stairs if your room is on the second floor.

Spacious and budget-friendly, ideal for a shopping-focused Tokyo trip :)

Pros: As first time traveling solo, I wanted a hotel that was spacious, close to a train station, and offered good value for a 5-night stay while exploring Tokyo and doing mostly shopping. House Ikebukuro met all my 3 criteria, and I highly recommend it if youโ€™re looking for the same. They got tatami flooring and thick duvets, everything was very clean, and I slept extremely well.

Cons: If you're a light sleeper and don't like sharing toilet/shower facilities, this may not be for you. The hotel has thin walls and I got lucky that I only had loud roommates for one night, because at 1AM I can hear them moving around, talking lots. Also, if your room is on the upper floor, youโ€™ll need to be mindful when going up and down the stairs as you wouldn't want to wake the guests below...

Traditional setting in an excellent location

Pros: Charming traditional japanese stay at an excellent location. Futon beds are interesting, fairly comfortable even for 4 nights, but for elderly and people with back issues I would not recommend.

Overall, it was very good. I will stay there again if I have the chance.

Pros: Located close to the main train station. easy to check in and check out. nice price. The staff always answered questions. You can leave your bags before your stay. Staff change towels and collect trash every day (love). There's a refrigerator , microwave ,a small round table,4 chairs, Towel hanger. There's a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Outside at night, there are some little loud noises of people walking and talking in front of the door, but overall it is quiet. There are restaurants nearby within walking distance. Convenience store not far away also.

Cons: The clothes hanger in the bathroom is not very functional for me. 4 people for this room is ok but no suitable private space for each other much because it has shelves on only one side, you have to walk over people haha. The blanket collects a little dust. It's really little, but I have allergies so I can feel it. Anyway, I slept well (Because of all day activities :D.
