Hotel Residence Ohashi Kaikan Tokyo Shibuya

Loved my stay here!

Pros: I really loved my stay here and would book this again when i return to Tokyo. Room's a bit small but okay amenities and comfy common room. Free use of laundry facilities. Nice location,around 3mins walk to the station and just 1 stop to Shibuya! There's a 711 beside the hotel and also a lovely bathhouse where you can calm those body aches after walking 20K steps! The Meguro Sky Garden is just around the corner where you can see Mt Fuji on a clear day without the crowd! I enjoyed my daily 711 breakfast here with the view. I miss Japan already.

Cons: There's no elevator going out of the station, so you have to carry your luggages up to get to the street.

Top location, clean rooms with all that is needed for a short or long stay

Pros: Location is just one stop from Shibuya in tram, room was equipped with everything, free laundry service and very nice how they provide you with toothbrushes, hair brush and even ear wax and hair ties. That extra touch of hospitality really stands out.

comfortable clean stay for a solo traveler

Pros: comfortable clean bed, clean warm shower/bathroom and aircon. perfect size for a solo person without a lot of baggage. its in a great location minutes from a station, one stop from Shibuya, and a nice local area with a few restaurants and combini.

Cons: the room doors are made of metal and the noise of doors opening and shutting late at night and early morning is unavoidable. (but they do have ear plugs you can help yourself too, along with toothbrushes' and other bits)

Pros: Small room, but great facilities. Top location and friendly staff.

Cons: The rooms are a tight squeeze. No storage space.

Comfy

Pros: The room is pretty spacious and the good part is that I had it for myself. Pretty enjoyable stay. I could also leave my suitcase there before my check-in, so I could look around the area with no weight on me.

Perfect for the Price

Pros: Perfect Location and Spot for a solo traveller. A short walk from the train station, and one station away from Shibuya. The room is small, but it is perfect for one person and has all the necessary facilities included. The shared area also was very useful

Pros: The reviews here are not doing this hotel justice, I’m here as a solo female traveller so the room is perfect size for me. The hotel is close to ikejiri ohashi station which is just one stop away from shibuya. The hotel is also right next to the meguro river, you’re able to walk to nakameguro and dakaiyama easily and it’s such a great area! Lots of cool shops and stores around. There is also a cool nice restaurant below the hotel lobby, vibe was amazing. There’s also a common area where I could work. I’ll definitely stay here again during my next visit.

Pros: A very nice location, free washing machines, you can take amenities and towels yourself, shared space to hang out, shared kitchen, self check-in possible. Overall a pleasant stay, everything was clean, the wifi and the ac worked.

Cons: For people who expect a traditional hotel this might not be good - there is no reception, it’s more like a dorm room I guess where you can use a shared kitchen, take fresh towels, amenities… I liked it this way, but it may not be for everyone. Also if you are a light sleeper the sound of opening doors might wake you up.

Ohashi Kaikan - ideal for solo travels

Pros: Close enough to everything I needed, loved that I was close to Meguro River. The inner city was a short walk or subway away. The amenities was perfect for solo travels, included toiletries and towels as needed. Convenience stores are nearby and I liked that it was quieter compared to staying in Shiba or Shinjuku.

Cons: Slightly small but this is Japan, definitely was perfect for one person.

Pros: An older building completely renovated with lots of high ends facilities. Rooms are tiny but comfortable, with great beds. Common space is great and well maintained. The cafe downstairs is top class. Check in was easy and staff helpful. They accommodated a change of date for me even if they didn't have to. Walking distance from Shibuya if you don't mind a stroll. Would recommend without hesitation.

Cons: Soundproofing isn't great, I could hear the people next door snore some nights. The doors are also noisy..
