Asakusa YOSHII Designer Hotel

Nice, clean hotel

Pros: The room and lounge were clean. Any amenities we wanted, we could collect them. It also had coin laundry and vending machines. Convenience stores were also nearby.

Cons: The hotel was about 15 mins walk from Asakusa station but buses run through and the bus stops are right by the hotel.

A great spot! I recommend!

Pros: Quiet but friendly, well located just a small trot from asakusa station, loads of convenience stores nearby. Lovely communal area downstairs. Rooms clean, relatively spacious for Tokyo, bath and shower.

Cons: Staff weren’t around a tonne - but when they were they were polite and friendly. There was no one there when I checked in at 11pm, I just picked up my key off the desk. Equally when I checked out the place to store my baggage wasn’t secure at all. I mean it’s Japan, there’s no crime, but my bag was essentially unattended in the open lobby all day.

Underrated stay in Tokyo

Pros: Large size room (for Japan) Good shower and bath with hot water Fairly large bathroom Comfortable beds Quiet rooms Coin operated washer and dryer machines Staff were friendly Communal dining area with microwave Short walk to several metro stations and a bus stop right outside the hotel Plenty of food options around You do not find much better than this room in all of Asia, let alone Japan, given the price!

Cons: Pillows could be better (personal preference) The hotel is in a touristy area, this may be good for some, but we prefer to be more in with the locals

Lovely little cheap and cheerful hotel

Pros: Lovely little hotel, cheap and cheerful but excellent for anyone wanting to explore Tokyo. Asakusa is a lovely part of the city and easily accessible to lots of other great areas.

Comfortable stay in a quieter part of Asakusa

Pros: It was a comfortable stay. The bathroom in the room was especially impressive. And you have all you need for a comfortable stay. Probably best for a few nights, but more than a week as the rooms are a bit small.

Cons: The rooms are not big but you can use the downstairs area that has tables and chairs to relax in if you need a bit of space from your roommates. The location is not very close to train stations but if you don't mind walking, it's not too bad. It's at least away from the main tourist areas, so it's a bit quieter. It's a 5 min walk to shops, restaurants, and stores.

Exceptional value for money

Pros: Easy to find, staff were very helpful through communication on the app. Clear instructions of what to do and what not to do. Has designated smoking areas on every floor.

Cons: Slightly dusty floors.

Pros: Clean, great shampoo and conditioner, travel massage, small size slippers (usually huge),. Good location, area where you can walk, eat

Cons: Very small room, no place to put suitcases, no wardrobe

Pros: The location was very good. Close to Sensoji temple

Sensoji Temple is just a walk away

Pros: Close to the bus stop that takes you Asakusa/ Sensoji Temple, but you can easily walk there as well. During Cherry Blossom season, the main road was lined with them. It's quite a good spot. The bathroom is clean and has refillable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. With a bidet-type toilet. Other basic amenities like toothbrushes, shavers, etc, were included in the room with top ups in the lobby.. The bedding was comfortable and soft, the air-con was great as well. There is a spot in the lobby where you can eat and fill up a water bottle. It seems like there is someone at the desk 24-hour incase you need help.

Cons: There was a bit of a cigarette smell that lingered in the hallways. It's a bit of a tight squeeze in the twin room. The rooms need a bit of a refresher, i.e. labelling of emergency exit information had different hotel name. Minor details but would make the space more cohesive. If you arrive early, staff will store your luggage in the lobby with other guest's bags, so just be mindful of that (although there is CCTV looking at the area FYI)

Pros: Really easy to commute, area is quiet and great to sleep.
