Otsuka house with 2BR near the Yamanote line

Great house in a quiet area close to a train station and with interesting shops nearby.

Pros: The location was great as it was very quiet and in a residential area. It was easy to find. It was plenty big enough for a family of 6. It was warm and cosy.

Cons: It would have been good to have some teatowels.

Comfortable stay for 6 people over 3 generations.

Pros: Self catering, good equipment, toast and coffee machines. Very attractively appointed and comfortable. Having a door code enabled people to come and go individually.

Cons: Hard to find house as name and number in small print in lobby. Also house has a different name to the booking. About 1 klm from the station

Pros: Very quiet location. Host very attentive to any issues and kindly allowed an extra guest at no charge for a few nights. I note that the house is a 10 min walk from Otsuka Station (JR)) with an uphill bit at the end so that should be noted if you have alot of luggage (directions from the host were very good though on locating property which is through a maze of streets). Plenty of restaurants between the train station and house; grocery options (including 7/11) less than 5 min walk from house. If staying here, then I suggest just relying on Suica Card rather than Japan Metro 24-72 hour pass (which will not get you on JR trains) - because nearly all your sightseeing will start from Otsuka Station (JR) with alot of the main areas on the Yamanote line (which always seems more crowded than the Metro lines btw). We took the train from Haneda to the house - the part of the journey on the Yamanote line was not pleasant with luggage due to overcrowding.

Cons: Both showers are in the same bathroom.

Pros: Emplacement au cœur de Tokyo très pratique et quartier très tranquille

Pros: Sehr gut ausgestattetes, authentisches und für Großstadtverhältnisse großzügiges Haus. Angenehme Wohngegend mit allem, was man so braucht. Gute Anbindung an die Yamanote-Line.

Cons: Hellhörigkeit

Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder dorthin.

Pros: Gemütliches Haus, bequeme Betten, schöner Garten und sehr tolle, ruhige Lage wenige Gehminuten von der Otsuka Station entfernt.

Pros: Petite maison avec du charme, propre, bien équipée, deux douches pour plus de rapidité, bien placée (Yamanote Line pour accéder facilement à Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akihabara, Tokyo,...), petit quartier sympathique, calme mais suffisament animé, magasins de proximité, gare d'Otsuka à 10 mn à pied... Beaucoup d'avantages.

Cons: Malheureusement peu d'endroits où faire du rangement, des mélangeurs seraient mieux dans les douches (difficultés à régler la température), WiFi un peu capricieux. Rien de grave néanmoins.
