Pros: Overall, this is an excellent option for the price - great value for money. It’s a small but stylish, classic Japanese-style home, and it feels really cute and welcoming inside. Surprisingly, it had the most comfortable futons we experienced, plus a huge blanket, we slept incredibly well and woke up feeling refreshed. The shower was warm (sometimes even properly hot), which was such a treat after cold walks. The location also worked really well for us, there are plenty of malls and metro stations within walking distance, and a lovely public park nearby that’s great for an easy stroll. We genuinely enjoyed our stay here.

Cons: A couple of things to keep in mind: it’s perfect and comfortable for two people, but for four or more it may feel quite tight, especially if you’re staying longer than a couple of nights. Also, hot water was only available at the kitchen sink; near the toilet/vanity with the mirror there was no hot water, which makes morning routines a bit awkward if you need the mirror. Finally, the house is clearly maintained and cared for, but it could use a little extra attention to small practical details - for example, more wall hooks for clothes and towels would make the space much more convenient.

Pros: Very close and can take Yamanote line from Otsuka to get to main attraction areas in Tokyo.

Cons: Steep stairs and narrow layout. If tourists coming to visit are on the bigger side, please be mindful it will be a squeeze.
