Convenient, local, quiet & away from

Pros: Convenient location. Quiet & a local vibe to escape from the busy days exploring Tokyo. The bakery around the corner & local neighborhood cafes were amazing if you are looking for a decent Japanese pourover or bakery treat. Close to Sunshine 60 shopping centre & all the Pokémon, Anime & shopping that it & Ikebukero itself provides! Felt safe the entire stay with teens. Hosts were really receptive to any queries.

Cons: Great to have a washing machine but a dryer would have been handy during our stay with stinky teens in Winter. But there is a laundromat a ‘stones throw’ away. Be aware that this is Japanese style townhouse. So being over 6-foot may lead to a few head knocks on the lower doorways. Stairs are typically narrow & steep for this era & style of house. Their is a sturdy handrail!

A cozy villa for bare-bones travellers

Pros: The location is excellent: the Todei Arakawa tram line is the closest, as are Otsuka station on the Yamanote line and Shin-Otsuka on the Marunouchi line. A caveat about the rooms: there are no big dividers between them, so it is basically a single room with 4 beds lined up, one next to the other. Make sure you are *quite* comfortable with your cotravellers. If you need to take a cab from any of the stations back to the villa, it is about ¥1000. A lot of the drivers did not speak English, so keep the address on a written-out piece of paper handy to show them (東池袋 5-30-7 is sufficient)

Cons: We had trouble retrieving keys when we tried to enter for the first time, and when we called the host's emergency number, we couldn't reach them. Additionally, the main door was very hard to slide open and close. We hope this can be resolved for future customers.

Pros: 食器、タオル、歯ブラシ、洗剤等は一通り揃っていました。湯舟は無くシャワーのみですが、近隣に銭湯がいくつかあります。

Cons: 二階に上がる階段が急すぎて、メンバーが一人転落してしまいました。手すりはついているのでしっかり掴んでいれば問題無かったかと思います。ご高齢の方や小さなお子さんが居る方には危ないかもしれません。あと、トイレの明かりのスイッチがドアの開閉時に勝手にオフになります。

Apartamento muy grande y cómodo. Muy bien equipado

Pros: Alojamiento mucho más grande que la media de tokio. Muy cómodo y muy bien equipado. 2 cuartos de baños y camas muy comodas y grandes. Cerca de un gran centro comercial.

Cons: Escaleras en la planta superior, pero se suben y bajan sin problema.

Pros: 池袋サンシャインから近くて、立地がとても便利でした。観光や買い物にも困らず、アクセスがよかったです。お部屋は清潔感があり、きれいで気持ちよく過ごせました。ベッドもふかふかで寝心地が良く、よく眠れました。アメニティも一通りそろっていて、特に歯ブラシがあったのはありがたかったです。トイレが2つあるのも助かりましたし、寝室の床が畳だったのが落ち着けてよかったです。冷蔵庫が付いていたのも個人的にはポイントが高く、飲み物を冷やせて便利でした。全体的にとても快適に過ごせる宿でした。また機会があれば利用したいと思います。
