Affordable and comfortable stay for a solo traveller

Pros: Superb place for a solo traveller to stay in. The facilities were well maintained and made staying here comfortable. Both regular shower cubicles and Japanese-style baths are available. Staff was friendly as well in showing me around.

Cons: The kitchen could be bigger and more user-friendly. The location is good if you are OK to take public transport, as it is of course, further out from central Tokyo. Lovely neighbourhood though!

Calm, relaxing, good value for money

Pros: Value for money is extremely good, as a solo traveler it was perfect for me, the bed was surprisingly comfortable and room was small but cozy, Also I liked the showers The train is a 10min walk away, I liked the area as it was peaceful

Cons: It’s a bit far out so gotta be on the train for a while, for reference about 1hr from shibuya, however i personally didn’t mind.

Great stay.

Pros: Great location, great staff, great room cleanliness. Great overall stay.

Cons: WiFi a bit problematic, but usable nonetheless.

Pros: Good location, good value, travel brochure in a myriad of languages available at the front, and all of Ashita no Joe and Slam Dunk as an added bonus!

Cons: Shared public toilets and showers, but the wait for the shower never ended up being a massive issue, and my other hotel which did have an en suite was more expensive for a reason. I never made use of the bath because if I'm back at the hotel early enough I'm probably doing something wrong, but then again people weren't fighting over the final slots of the day so what do I know?

Pros: I loved the location of the hotel — it was a small town and the hotel was in a neighbourhood, there were schools, small shop lots, definitely a family friendly area. Night time was peaceful. Not many cars, quiet environment. 10 mins walk from minami-senju station to the hotel. And the station has mostly direct lines to a lot of attractions in tokyo city. Our room was comfortable although a bit small for 2 people with big luggage 😅. I loved the concept of the hotel. It’s somewhat like a guest house with common area & a kitchen but super comfortable, especially for muslim female travellers like us. Yes, they have shared bathrooms & shower rooms but both are private rooms. The shower room has changing area and gents & ladies bathrooms are separated.

Cons: Room for 2 was a bit small. Probably much suitable for bag packers.

Small but ok

Pros: The house is not far from the train/metro station and the Ueno park, it's basic but has all we needed for the three nights.

Cons: We had a tiny room with bunk beds but it was ok.

Nice japanese style stay

Pros: The staff was very helpful. The facilities were good, there's a kitchen with rice cooker, microwave, stove, and a small oven ( to toast bread, for example) The japanese bathroom was quite nice after a lot of walking. It's a nice place to also talk to some other travelers Also the water pressure, very good

Cons: It's not that I didn't like, it's that some travelers don't want to remove their shoes before entering. They provide slippers. But I saw a couple wearing sneakers to their room. Bringing all the dirty inside. If you do not want to remove your shoes by any means. That's not a place for you. The location is not so close, it's 10-12 minutes from the train station. That seems longer when you're tired from walking

Pros: It's a very good hotel in Tokyo! Their rooms are comfortable and clean. Walking distance from the train station (JR Minami Senju). Very helpful staff. You feel home!

Pros: Staff is great, facilities are clean and room is comfortable. One of the workers was kind enough to let me leave my luggage after checkout and take a shower upon return.

Cons: A bit far from the city center. Room had no windows for the outside.

An inexpensive hidden gem!

Pros: Absolutely loved this hotel!! Super friendly staff and easy check-in. Amazing location and super safe area. Room was suitably sized for price and showers/bathrooms were always clean. Japanese style bath was also a great unexpected addition! I would definitely stay here again in Tokyo!
