COCOSHUKU Asakusa Kuramae

Fantastic place to stay

Pros: The Coco shuku's location is amazing - very close to a convenient train line. Check-in was seamless and the room was very comfortable for a family of 4. The two toilets were a life-saver!

Cons: Can't think of anything!

Pros: Clean and rooms large for tokyo (with 2 toilets)... rates per night were reasonable and not excessive for a family room. Very close to Kuramae metro. Laundry efficient and easy to use.

Cons: Did not see any staff members to help you during the course of my stay. Also strange that you had to exit the building to go to the laundry. Other than these little things, everything else was very smooth!

Pros: Great location and very easy to check in. Highly recommend@

Pros: The room is comfortable and the kids love the double decker bed. The surrounding has nice little cafe if you want to have breakfast there. Many convenience stall nearby. Short walk to asakusa line.

Cons: The unit we had had only a small window which is frosted. So completely no view of the outside. Other units may have better view. Requested to register earlier with passport etc for every single person, took me one hour. but on actual check in have to do it again. So have to do that twice.

Great accomodation for families who are happy to catch the metro to explore Tokyo.

Pros: Modern apartment and furnishings. Everything is clean and like a hotel. Having 2 separate bathrooms and quality hard mattress. Close to metro and 7/11 store. Could travel on same line to Tokyo airport.

Cons: Our 5 bed room didn’t have any windows so relying on air vents. Location is far from Shibuya/shinjuku and need to change multiple lines.

Great location and comfy stay!

Pros: We love the location—it’s close to two major train lines and within walking distance of Sensoji, Tokyo Skytree, and Ueno. We also appreciate being able to pick up amenities on our own from the lobby and laundry area. Having two toilets and one shower was perfect, so the four of us didn’t have to wait for our turn.

Cons: It would be great if larger pillows were provided, as the extra small ones were too firm and uncomfortable. The main lobby is very close to the main street, which feels a bit unsafe when walking from the lift lobby to the laundry room at night. We also noticed that the staircase on the first floor wasn’t barricaded, allowing anyone to climb in if they wanted to.

Pros: The sheets and bed were so comfortable. Just what i needed after a 20k step day.

Cons: It was small and the bunks.

Cocoshuku Kuramae was a great place to stay for our first family trip to Japan

Pros: The location was fabulous, super close to Kuramae and Asakusabashi stations. The area wasn’t busy or overcrowded. The amenities area had lots of useful things like board games, tea/coffee, and extra kitchen items. Even though the hotel isn’t staffed, they are very quick to respond online.

Cons: The only thing we didn’t like about our stay were the pillows, they were very hard and ended up basically flat by the morning.

Best place I can find for a family of four!

Pros: Excellent room for families of four people (two adults and two kids). I couldn’t imagine anything that could beat this place with such a great price and comfort.

Cons: Not much to explore nearby. but there is some decent local restaurants and convenient stores for grocery shopping, and some souvenir shops. Close enough to a subway station.

Pros: Modern, comfortable little apartment. Plenty of hot water for the shower. Two toilets was handy. Would recommend.

Cons: Not much floor space for 5 large suitcases, but that’s being picky.
