Hotel Tateshina

Pros: Hotel location is good and near JR and subway stations.

Good location, room clean and quite comfortable

Pros: Convenient location 10 minutes walking from Shinjuku Station and Kabukicho district (bars and clubs). Room clean, provided with small bathroom, shower and air conditioning.

Cons: Room was a bit too small and don’t have wardrobe. Price expensive but in line with Tokyo’s standards. Staff at reception a bit rude.

GREAT value for money, awesome location, just a bit older

Pros: Room looked much better than on pictures Check-in at exactly 3PM, everything went alright, staff knew enough english to explain everything All felt clean, despite the hotel seeming to be on the older side There was enough space to open our two suitcases Very near to Shinjuku Plenty of small stores around - 7/11, FamilyMart, Lawson (all non-stop) Side street location also shielded us from the noise of the traffic Super fast checkout

Cons: Room was very small - double bed as well (JPN standards are just different than those in the EU) Bathroom was even smaller, for a 190cm guy, I had issues standing straight in the bathroom + even sitting on the toilet as there wasn't enough space Windows didn't insulate properly - sound wasn't an issue really, but cold got easily through (upside was that somehow, the window curtains managed to block it) Unnecessary towel change every day

Pros: Good value for the distance away from the main centre.

Cons: Could use a better clean of the air ducts.

Great value

Pros: Walking distance from Shinjuku station in a quiet side street, great for late arrivals/early departures for train. Taxi from airport was quick and easy. Staff was there to check us in at 2am! Bed was comfortable and duvet was warm and soft.

Pros: Perfect position for Who want tò stay out at night and have the last drinks, eccellente position for the day to move everywhere

A lucky find, would have stayed longer if possible.

Pros: Great local bars, restaurants and convenience shops, very quiet late at night.

Cons: Construction site outside my window was noisy, no fault of hotel. Maybe I should have asked for discount.

Enjoy Tokyo

Pros: Its in center of Shinjuku so pretty easy to walk around. Staff is very helpful. Pretty comfortable bed and big size room.

Cons: Hotel is overall quite old but anyway great value for money

Pros: Good location near Shinjuku Sanchome station, very good value, quiet at night, cosy

Cons: Room was slightly cramped for a 6ft man - had to duck to get into the bathroom, no room to open a suitcase on the floor

Pros: The location value for money single room was bigger than normal
