Excellent apartment to stay in the heart of Shinjuku- value for money!
Pros: Excellent location - close to the hustle and bustle, but far enough away that it was quiet in the room. Beds on the floor was surprisingly comfortable and although it seemed smaller than the pictures, it was fine for 2 adults and 2 kids for 3 nights. Well heated, clean and all the kitchen facilities we needed. We arrived in Tokyo at 1am, but the instructions were clear for us to find it - even though the taxi couldn't fit down the lanes surrounding the apartment. Felt safe and it was perfect for our stay.

Perfect location
Pros: Location is perfect. 5min to metro station and also Shinjuku. There are many shops nearby. Bedroom is large. It has a tiny kitchen, microwave, fridge, washing machine and filtre coffee machine. We can recommend to everyone.

Great little tatami apartment
Pros: Spacious by Tokyo standards, great location near the metro and had everything we needed. Unique experience sleeping on tatami mats and they were more comfortable than expected!
Cons: bathroom is tiny, but that's not out of the ordinary

Little nook in Shin-Okubo
Pros: Little apartment tucked away in the backstreets of Shinjuku. The place is small as is to be expected for the style of apartment. Works well for two people. The bedroom area is surprisingly large, with enough room to have two large suitcases open all the time. The futons are on the thin side, but again nothing out of the ordinary for these types of stays. I would pick this place over a small hotel room any day. The location is just a short walk from a couple of train stations, and you can be in the thick of Shinjuku within 15 minutes by foot too.
Cons: As other reviews have said, the walls are thin and you can hear people moving around throughout the day and night. There isn't a deadlock or chain on the door which would be preferable at night for added security. The washing machine is great, however there isn't anywhere to hang clothes to dry. The windows/shutters don't block out the morning sun. So you'll likely be woken up as soon as the sun rises. We ended up sleeping with eye masks on. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.

Modest apartment in a really good location for a fair price
Pros: The location is great, - and the bedroom looks beautiful with those Japanese-style beds (tatami), which are very comfortable. - There is a smooth check-in, - the host responds quickly, - there is great Wi-Fi.
Cons: The place didn't have enough space for things to be placed, e.g., I had no idea where to hang towels, there were just 2 door handles and they didn't fit all the towels. I didn't know where to put my clothes; there were a few hangers, but it wasn't enough. We were missing some shelves. The walls are thin, and I could easily hear the neighbours. E.g., once I woke up at night because some person was opening their door and saying 1 word, but I had a feeling that it was in my room. But except for this case, noises didn't bother me much.

A cozy, well-equipped home base in lively Shin-Okubo – perfect for exploring Tokyo
Pros: We loved how this accommodation truly felt like a home away from home. The area is relatively quiet, yet the hustle and bustle of Shin-Okubo is just around the corner – the best of both worlds. Yes, the apartment can be a bit “noisy,” but we didn’t mind at all. After a full day of exploring, we were so tired that we easily fell asleep despite any background sounds. The apartment is quite spacious by Tokyo standards, and we slept wonderfully on the tatami mats. Everything you could possibly need is provided: from a washing machine, iron and ironing board, to a hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. A very comfortable and convenient stay – we would definitely recommend it.
