Amazing, really cost effective, super clean.
Pros: Fantastic option for a cost-effective stay in Tokyo. It was also really fun to experience a capsule hotel in Japan. 9H was spotlessly clean, really comfortable and brilliantly efficient. We loved the large locker, easy QR code access to everything, safe environment with dedicated male/female lifts, floor access, bathrooms, lounges and sleeping floors. Greater location too - less than a block to an endless choice of restaurants and a subway station, and just 1km from Tokyo station. Important to note that the lockers can’t accommodate large suitcases/ski bags etc and there is nowhere to store these, so this would not suit if you’re travelling with a lot of luggage. Also really important that you are willing to respect the rules to ensure everyone has a peaceful stay.
Cons: The Booking.com system didn’t integrate with the 9H check-in system, which uses QR code automated check-in. There was a staff member on scene who helped get it sorted, but worth knowing.

Pros: - Honestly an overall amazing hostel - Cleanliness was top notch: bedding is replaced every day by staff and bathrooms are extremely well kept - Staff were super friendly and they work very hard to keep the place clean (I came back to the hostel at 3AM on New Years and the staff were busy cleaning the bathrooms)
Cons: - If you're a light sleeper, you can hear people snoring in capsules around you. Easy fix is to use ear plugs which the hostel provides for free

Okay stay but not enough facilities for a comfortable long stay
Pros: The pods were very comfortable and clean. Check in and check out easy. Great location if you want to have access to subway near by but be in a more quiet area.
Cons: The room I was in, on the 8th floor, every night had a super strong smell of cooked smoked meat. I guess the restaurant below nearby didn't have good ventilation. It was absolutely terrible. Also the fact that there's no kettle or fridge to store food is bad.

Perfect for a quick stopover in Tokyo
Pros: Size of the capsule was very good; large and no feeling of claustrophobia. Has a privacy blind Very stable construction; you don’t feel the bed shake when people climb up and down to their capsule Comfortable mattress and clean sheets Very thoughtfully laid out - locker area separated from capsule area so people don’t disturb those who are sleeping Women’s areas accesible only by women’s lifts that stop only on the women’s floors (and vice versa) Easy check-in process and you’re given loungewear, towels and slippers
Cons: QR code on the keycard doesn’t always get picked up so easily by scanners on the lift and lockers

Pros: Only thing I would have lived was a cold filtered water tap to fill up a water bottle.

Pros: silent and clean, everything is easy to understand and welcoming.
Cons: a bit more of ventilation optionally. and i expected the door of the capsule to be more solid.

Pros: The concept of capsule hotel, i mean again it is bit of a control and discipline but it is value for money and allow one to feel like a hotel clean and spacious. If you are traveller or hustler i would recommend this.

Convenient and central, it will serve well for a 1-2 night stay in the area if travelling light
Pros: the check in process was seamless, but better come in pre booked. The sleeping pods are located in a room that its very quiet, certainly the quietest for shared accomodation I've been in.
Cons: The lockers are quite limited in space. I traveled with a 40L backpack only and that filled most of the locker (after removing shoes and outer wear, so definitely not recommended for people travelling with larger baggage.

Good location & facilities, pillow the main downside
Pros: Great location, easy self check in, the facilities were really nice - the lockers are massive (over 6ft tall, hangers for two coats, 2 shelves - easily fit in 1 suitcase and a backpack) The showers were great, best showers we had in 5 different accommodations in Japan. The capsules are very dark, ignore the reviews that say it is too bright. The capsules are cleaned daily with a new washbag (with towels, toothbrush, pyjamas etc) supplied to your capsule. 2 minute walk away from the metro and multiple convenience stores.
Cons: The pillows are terrible. Honestly, if the pillows were better, I don't see why i wouldn't stay here for my entire trip. The pillows are rock hard bean bags that are uncomfortable and thin, although bad pillows seemed to be a theme for us in Japan🤣 If you don't like waking up at 6-7 am, don't stay in a capsule hotel. People snoring, coughing, or some idiot who has an alarm next to you will wake you up. Was no problem for me naturally waking up at 6:30, but I could see how this would be bad for other guests

Pros: Good location, with nice cafes and restaurants nearby
Cons: They should keep a staff member at the reception
