Capsule Room Lightning Hotel Asakusa

Pros: Location is fantastic. Near the Ginza line. Lots of 24 hr places walking distance. I recommend this for solo travelers.

I’d love to stay again for sure.

Pros: I really like how it’s really cleaned. The staffs are nice.

For the price, this hotel is highly recommended.

Pros: Location is very convenient since the Tawaramachi subway station is only a few minutes away on foot. Also, Sensoji Temple is very close which is good for visitors looking to visit this tourist site.

Cons: Bathrooms do get a bit crowded in the morning when everyone is getting ready to checkout or go out for the day. They also get a bit dirty when other guests leave their belongings and garbage.

Pros: Great location! Nice amentities provided in the room. Loved the face products. Nice view of the skytree from the window.

Cons: A blocked out blind would be nice.

It was a nice stay minus the heat in the room. The location was perfect.

Pros: The location, near to Tawaramachi Station. Walking distance to don quijote, uniqlo, GU Asakusa and Kaminarimon gate. Konbini everywhere. My taxi can found my location easily.

Cons: The heater in the room. It was winter but the room was too hot, we wanted to turn on the air conditioner but can’t seem to adjust it without the heater. The noise from the next room can be heard too.

Very clean and quiet hostel on a low budget, I’ll come back.

Pros: The best hostel I’ve stayed at. It’s clean, has certain rules on food consumption and noise level that people respect. All the essential facilities have been provided. I could fit very well in the capsule cabin, and I am 162 cm tall. Also the location is totally the best in terms of connection to the airports and to explore the historical area.

Cons: That the lockers are limited in size, and it can be difficult to fit in your suitcase if not impossible sometimes, so be prepared to leave it in the room if it is a check-in size. But the safety is very high.

Pros: Only stayed here for hours, waiting for my flight. I like how spacious the shower area is and how clean it is.

Cons: Inside of the blanket is super dirty, has yellowish and the wool of the blanket is somewhat black in colour.

Pros: Location. Value for money. Privacy and comfort. Shower cubicles were very spacious. Elevator was huge. There were hangers in the capsules. Lockers and luggage storage space were inside the dorms. Shoe lockers, though, are at the lobby.

Cons: There was a clogged toilet full of toilet paper. All the trash bins in the dorm hall, in the bathrooms, and the common area on the 2nd flr were full to the brim. The paper-thin slippers provided were slippery and was just a nuisance.

Pros: Clean and tidy. Very good location, close to Sensoji Kaminari mon. Close to many metro and train stations.

Cons: Stairs climbing to upper bunk is a bit hard to use.

Great for Muslim travellers

Pros: Good for Muslim travellers on budget because it has enough space for Fajr prayer. Comfy bed and bathroom. Don't check out late, even for just 5 minutes late, you'll be charge 1,000yen. Halal restaurant nearby. Got Famima across the street.

Cons: Nothing.
