Pros: Location was close to Ueno station which is great stay if you need to catch a bullet train from Ueno station.

Strategically located Smart Stay Shizuku

Pros: Location, location, location....just barely 200m from Keisei Ueno station, Ichiran around the corner, Ameyokocho across the street....food, shopping and traveling convenience!! Capsule is cleaned everyday and new towels are provided. Wonderful that it comes with a small locker. Very clean and comfortable

Cons: The take out shoes, exchange keys process...rather complicated but once you get the hang of it, it's bearable

Helpful staff, great value for price

Pros: Staff was very helpful with luggage delivery, great value for the price of stay

Cons: Very hot in my room when I went in January. Central heating right in front of my room couldn't turn it off

Pros: Every time I come to Tokyo, I stay at this hotel. I love absolutely everything.

Cons: The hotel's entry and exit system is very complex. Going to the grocery store requires a lot of steps, making it awkward for the staff.

Pros: Really like the shower room with the stool inside and also the big make up space equipped with good hair dryers and lotion. Its nice to be able to sit after a long day, shower while seated and putting on makeup and skincare. Also really like the manga lounge wish it had chinese so I could understand. It was beyond my expectation.

Perfect Location

Pros: The location is perfect, it’s less than 5 mins walk from the train station, so it’s really easy to get around. The area is quiet but still close to everything you need. Convenience stores, restaurants, and shops are just around the corner, which made things very simple. The check-in process was smooth and everything was clearly explained. The hosts have done a great job keeping things organised and instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Well-located, clean, and secure adult-only environment with excellent amenities and facilities

Pros: - Excellent location within 5 minutes walk from Keisei Skyliner Ueno station (direct from Narita airport) and Ueno JR station. - Clean environment, air-conditioning was at a comfortable temperature, good security as doors only open with RFID tags - Separate male and female floors - No children are allowed so it's a good environment to rest after a long day outside. - Amenities provided: Hair shampoo, hair conditioner, hair water, facial oil, facial cleanser, facial lotion, hand soap, body soap, facial cotton pad, cotton buds, hair tie, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair dryers. disposable slippers, disposable shavers - Washing machine, washing powder and dryers are available for minimal amount. - Each capsule comes with USB-A , USB-C, multi-power plug, TV and a lockable cupboard enough to fit a backpack, - Other items that can be borrowed from the front desk: Steam iron, hair straightener, hair curler, charging cable, deodorant spray, nail clippers, thermometer

Cons: - Recommend to use ear plugs for those who are light sleepers as the sounds of luggage zippers and plastic bags can be heard even though it's quiet in the capsule sleeping area. - To be mindful to check-out before 10am and check-in after 4pm for housekeeping purposes. Extra charges automatically applies if check-out is a few minutes after 10am. - Only 2 shower rooms for females in the basement but no queues as most go to the common bath/sauna area.

Good position and very clean

Pros: Very clean and very good position. Public bath for free and a lot of amenities in the bathroom.

Cons: Doors are a little bit noisy. So It Is difficult to sleep when a lot of people goes in and out from the room or to the bathroom. Sinks in the bathroom should be more due to the huge availability of capsules

Bargain near Ueno Park

Pros: Great location and as a solo traveller I felt safe. Great access to Ueno park, shopping, restaurants and the station for onward travel or the airport.

Cons: Was too hot for me. No tattoo allowed in the onsen. They did have shower availability though.
