Great accommodation with amazing staff, but unwise for this particular trip.
Pros: Fantastic location in a lovely area of Tokyo. Lots of restaurants nearby and within easy walking distance from a train station, Tokyo Tower, and the Imperial Palace (though I didn't go to the latter). The staff were super helpful, especially when I got ill due to a combination of dehydration and jetlag insomnia - special thanks to Suzuki-san and Masato-san for their concern and checking on me. Note that they did not speak English (some staff do) and we were using Google translate while I was ill, but otherwise I was speaking Japanese with them for all non-emergencies. The public bath experience - though initially jarring due to the nudity - was amazing. I hope to incorporate baths into my daily life a bit more often because of my time at this hotel.
Cons: The curfews (out of the hotel 1000-1200 and room available from 1500) were unsuitable for me adjusting to the time zone, so much so that I did have to rebook to a different hotel just to reset my body clock. It may also be concerning to others that large luggage is left unattended (with CCTV) in a room downstairs, but I must stress that for light travel within the time zone, it's great value for money and a really fun, different experience. I missed the baths when I was at the new hotel.

Great value
Pros: The staff was always available and ready to answer my questions. I left some clothes in the laundry machine on my check out day and they let me come back past my checkout time in order to retrieve laundry. At first, I thought it was weird that we had to vacate our rooms by 10 a.m. each morning, but it became a good thing since it gave me a reason to start the day by 10 o'clock everyday.
Cons: Sometimes the other guests on my floor were noisy. For example, I remember being awoken towards 3 a.m. because someone was speaking loudly. Otherwise, people's alarms woke me up in the morning. I understand that the hotel staff needs to clean our rooms everyday, but it would be appreciated if I could've kept some items in my room instead of having to bring them to my locker and back to my room every day.
