Sotetsu Fresa Inn Ueno-Okachimachi

Pros: Very good location, close to metro, decent space in a room for Tokyo, normal size double bed, helpful staff.

Cons: Breakfast does not worth the money, better to get something at convenience store. Also, would be good to have a smart tv in this day and age.

Great location but small room

Pros: The reception is on the 2nd floor and friendly. They will support you with the luggage transfer. The biggest advantage of this Hotel is the location: Ginza line is about 30m away, Okamachi Station is about 5min walk away (Yamanote line) and the Keisei line is also in Ueno for access to Narita Airport! With these 3 lines you have access to all important locations in Tokyo. There is also a Izakaya store 24h closeby.

Cons: Standard room for Japan, so expect a small room and not much space for your luggage.

Stay in the heart of Ueno with excellent value and easy access to Ameyoko, the Park and tge Skyliner.

Pros: Great location and excellent value for money. The corner double room was a good size, with room for a couple of suitcases.

Pros: This stay was awesome the staff were so accomodating and efficient.

Cons: The rooms are small but no smaller then expected

Pros: The hotel has an amazing location. It’s surrounded by lots of Japanese shops and bars, and it’s very close to several subway lines, including the Keisei Skyliner. There are also plenty of convenient stores nearby like Book Off, Don Quijote, and more, which makes everything super easy during your stay.

Convenient stay for Tokyo.

Pros: Great location, close to multiple train and subway lines. A good variety of restaurants nearby. Lots of shopping availability within walking distance

Cons: This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel so that speaks volumes but I did note this time that the cleaning staff were pretty noisy, sometimes from about 0900. Something I never noted in the other hotels I’ve stayed in.

Overall, a very enjoyable stay

Pros: The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Bonus point for the provided slippers (they're very nice slippers), and all the tea bags and accessories that are available at the hotel reception.

Cons: We would have appreciated a bit more help from the staff to understand how to forward our luggage from this hotel to the next, the app they asked us to use was sometimes a bit confusing for us.

Highly recommend

Pros: Location is great - Ueno is well connected with the airports, various metro lines, has many shops and restaurants nearby. The room was small but has everything needed, individual amenities available at reception made my skin and hair great. We used their recommended luggage forward service which worked out great and turned out to be half the price from the “black cats” famous company. There was paid laundry machines (we didn’t use) available to the guests.

Accessible

Pros: location is great. about 5-10mins walk to all different train stations. accessible to every different areas of Tokyo. they have same day luggage delivery to the airport and staff were very helpful
