WASHINGTON R&B Hotel Ueno Hirokoji

Excellent location

Pros: The location is excellent - it is 2 minutes' walk from Okachimachi JR station on the Yamanote line. It also is a short walk from the Ueno-Hirokoji (Ginza line) station. At the hotel itself, the amenity bar and pyjamas are good. You are able to switch pillows using the pillow bar too. The staff are helpful. Free coffee available.

Cons: A little bit of noise can be heard from the street but that is not the hotel's fault and may be due to the floor I was on (2F).

Pros: My third time staying here - still the best option for single travelers (or those who prefer having pesonal bathroom and bedroom even when travelling together). The room is very small (no surprise here) but enough space to move around or to open a suitcase. Contains everything one might need. Very nice hair dryer :)) You may even choose a suitable pillow from the storage on the first floor, if you find the one provided by default uncomfortable. The location is perfect - it's very close to JR Okachimachi station, right between Ueno and Akihabara. These areas are bustling with life, but the hotel area is pretty quiet even though a big street is just 150m away.

Cons: The aircon was a bit noisy and difficult to operate. A printout of brief instructions how to use it could be useful.

Pros: Perfect location for first time Japan visitors. A little quieter with less hustle but heaps to see and do. So many complimentary extras to make your stay relaxing. Staff are wonderful.

Cons: The pillows, or at least the ones we had. A little bit to get used to.

Very short but very restful

Pros: It was so close to the station and the staff were so gorgeous and friendly. The room was perfect and exactly what’s pictured in the photos

Pros: Hotel in a very good location, close to several lines/metro stops to move easily in the city. the room was comfortable, amenities are available at the reception, and they clean the room daily. walking distance from supermarkets, restaurants bars and shops. recommended!

Pros: Fantastic location, convenient to the JR, Keisei and Metro lines. Close to Ueno park and the attractions there, also has plenty of food and shopping options in walking distance. The pillow bar to choose pillows of different styles from in the lobby was also a great addition!

Centrally located ,Ideal for short stay

Pros: Location of hotel was ideal , 2 metro lines option helped to travel within city more easily .Convinient store right neat hotel also was ideal to grab anything as needed. Room was clean and neat. Staff was polite and nice. Ideal place for short stay and good value for money .

Cons: AC function did not work which made room sometime very hot. Room cleaning even though requested was not done only new towels were kept , they did not even clean garbage which piled up in 2 days i was staying. They should have atleast cleaned it out each day.

Great stay

Pros: Great location, near trains and metro, rooms are comfortable and the room layout is very functional.
