Staying here was great and likely my priority on my next Ueno trip.

Pros: Quietness, due to being located away from the busy areas and main roads. But having said that, it’s just minutes walk to and fro the train stations. Cleanliness, spotless superb with comfortable beds for all the 3x rooms I booked.

Cons: None. But would be great if bottled drinks are included daily. Anyway, not a must moving forward since neighbouring unit is setting up a Family Mart- should be opened soon. We checked out on 19 Feb 2026.

Pros: cleanliness, equip with everything you need. the location is good - very near ueno station. there is a water dispenser at the lobby.

Cons: the size of room is very small. i think this is normal for tokyo stay.

Convenient & comfortable

Pros: Stayed one night in January 2026, in the Japanese-style Family Room (two adults, two kids). Our second time staying here. Great to have a window looking out over the street. We like the Japanese-style rooms as it allows space to spread out luggage when the beds are rolled up. Pillows could be a bit thicker but otherwise the bedding is comfy and warm. Clean with good facilities. Friendly reception staff. Handy proximity to Ueno Station for links to Narita Airport and the Shinkansen.

Cons: We were woken during the night by *very* loud guests in the room next door - but that's not the fault of the hotel. The guests quietened down after we knocked on their door.

Good value for money, but comfort is not number 1

Pros: The location was fantastic, quiet but close to the train and convenient stores, restaurants etc. it also had a laundry which was super handy. The rooms were super spacious and the staff were so lovely and friendly, even though we needed to sue google translate a fair bit.

Cons: We had to leave the keys when we went out for the day. It was a little risk but I must say the staff were lovely and very trustworthy. The beds (floor futons) were quite thin, so comfort wise, it wasn’t the best.
