Another great Dormy Inn with good public bath facilities, convenient location

Pros: - The usual dormy inn perks, like a nice public bath, free ice cream, free ramen at night and so on - There is an elevator to the subway platform directly outside the hotel - A 5-7 min walk gets you to korakuen station, where there are even more transit connections - Overall things are quite easy to reach from here - Convenient options for shops, food, snacks outside - Koshikawa Korakuen garden is just around the corner. A great oasis of tranquility

Cons: - sometimes the wait for the elevator was a bit long, but to be fair that happens at most hotels during busy times - unlike other dormy inns, the public bath in this one is indoor only and doesn't have any windows. It is still a very good place to relax thanks to good choices with the decorations

Pros: The room was cozy and unexpectedly spacious ( where we can opened up both our luggages). The staff was friendly and clear about the facilities in the hotel. We didn’t have time to enjoy the onsen here sadly (as we slept like a baby in the room!), but we will definitely pick Dormy Inn at anytime anywhere in Japan!

Excellent spot. I love dormy inn!

Pros: I loved the onsen, ice cream and ramen in the evenings. Great location. Well sound proofed.

Cons: The light that automatically turned on in the hallway on our room

Convenient location for a solo traveller and great food freebies!

Pros: The location of this hotel was excellent, right by two subway stations (elevator entrance to Kasuga station was right in front of the hotel), and near Tokyo Dome City and LaQua shopping centre. The queen room was the right size for me as a solo traveller although a little tight around the bed. Breakfast was a good mix of Japanese and Western options. Onsen was great and the automatic washers were very handy (dryer was 100 yen for 30 mins). Loved that you could use the hotel menu from the TV and order room cleaning and check the occupancy of the onsen and restaurant. Best part was the late night noodles (absolutely perfect for the night I arrived and wasn't feeling great), yakult in the morning and ice cream in the evening. There are also vending machines (need change for these), microwaves and ice on various floors. They provide pajamas that you can wear throughout the hotel.

Cons: The bed was not the most comfortable, although I was able to sleep ok. English levels varied between staff but we managed ok, the hotel was mostly occupied by locals. Breakfast time was a little tight - only open from 6:30-9:30 but you had to be in by 9am.

Recommen! Great value!

Pros: The hotel location is excellent. The access to the public bath was great and all included amenities! We also enjoyed the complimentary ramen which was delicious. Would come back and recommend.

Cons: The room was quite small - however this is nothing surprising taking into account the japanese standards.

Really nice place with some free services and very well localised

Pros: Great localisation and very helpful staff, the hotel also had a lovely onsen and offered food and treats for free in certain times. They also have free washing machines and 100¥ drying machines.

Cons: The air-conditioning was a little bit noisy.

Will always stay in Dormy Inn Hotel if there is a branch in the area that I am visiting .

Pros: I stayed frequently at the Dormy Inn Hotel chain. I like having staff present at the reception (not those with self check-in facilities) & they are friendly & helpful. The rooms are clean, size are decent, usual freebies like ice cream, hot bath, yakult drinks & the late evening Raman are available in all Dormy Inn. Laundry washing are free but you need to pay 100 yen (30 min) for the dryer which I feel is really reasonable. You can check the washing status, availability of hot bath all from the TV in your room. Dormy Inn Korakuen twin room has separate bath & toilet room which I really like. The walk from Korakuen Station (exit 4A/B) - out from station turn left, takes about 5 to 8min. If you exit from Kasuga station exit from A7 (You need to take a lift up). Hotel is right in front of the lift exit. Go L2 to the reception.

Cons: I often like to send my luggage to other hotels ( Japan has the best luggage delivery system - make use of it , Just pay a little fee). However this branch does not provide such services. Nevertheless, there is a Family Mart on the 1st floor so we need to pull our luggage there to get it sent to the next hotel or airport. A bit inconvenient but no big deal.
