Onyado Nono Asakusa Annex - Natural Hot Spring

We had a great stay and highly recommend

Pros: Onsen the star of the show and an absolutely brilliant way to end the day. With late night ramen and an icecream for the kids it made travelling with kids a lot easier. Love the location.

Cons: The only challenge we had was some communication which isn’t a fair expectation as our Japanese isn’t very good!!

A cosy spot of luxury in Asakusa

Pros: Wonderful hotel overall with excellent facilities (tatami mats throughout, indoor/outdoor onsen, vending machines, laundry, library) and highly appreciated extras (free ramen at night, ice cream, etc.) that make a stay here feel luxurious. Despite the large volume of guests in December, it also managed to feel quite intimate if you avoid peak times for the onsen. Great service as well - I left an item in my room, and the staff stayed in communication with me for weeks until my friend came to retrieve it for me.

Cons: The location is not as convenient if you're spending most of your time in more 'central' areas of Tokyo or nearby places like Koenji or Nagano, but if you're used to commuting on public transportation and walking a lot, it's fine.

Pros: Loved the onsen (separate men and women so can use any time) loved the complimentary evening ramen, massage chair and location.

Cons: Felt it was quite expensive but our wonderful experience made it worth it

Pros: Superb location with easy access to subway, historic sites of Asakusa and excellent restaurants. While the room was compact it had all the amenities we needed; a very comfy bed, sound proof windows, and lovely view of the area. The breakfast provided a wide selection of delicious dishes to choose from.
