Okachimachi Urban Hotel

An unpretentious hotel to spend the night after a long Tokyo day

Pros: It's a business hotel, no bells and whistles. A place to sleep and freshen up after a day of exploring Tokyo. What more do you need? The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the two weeks I spent here were surprisingly quiet despite the location. Many public transportation options are right around the corner and Ueno has a lot going on at night as well. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

Cons: The bathroom had a small towel rack attached up on the wall opposite the toilet which made standing up a little bit of an acrobatic maneuver if I didn't want to hit my head on it, but aside from that I didn't find the one person room I stayed in to be particularly cramped as a 185cm tall guy.

Pros: I stayed here for 2 weeks. Friendly and very helpful staff. Very clean. Good location and I will surely return to this hotel.

Pros: Good location close to two subway stations and many convenience stores and options to eat at all times of day. Easy walk to ueno or akihabara. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: Elevator always stops on 2nd floor which is a bit strange, though i understand its likely for the reception to keep track of who is coming in or out.

Very nice hotel and staff. I recommend it.

Pros: Clean room, very helpful & friendly staffs. They’re helping me with the luggage transfer. Nearby Akihabara, and even walk to Ueno Zoo from the hotel 😀. The room size is quite small but that’s ok because we’re spending times more out of the hotel haha.

Cons: None.

A great affordable stay

Pros: It’s a really nice quiet place that also close to many places like Ueno Everything is very small but we got everything we needed

Pros: Staff really friendly and polite. Location is outstanding, the local area is great with markets and near to Ueno park for national museums. Really easy access to trains and subway for getting to others locations in Tokyo.

Pros: The Hotel stuff was very friendly and helpful, checking in and out went very smoothly. The room was small but comfortable and had everything you expect and need from a hotel room. The location is ideal, between two famous neighbourhoods and near many train lines. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Pros: Perfect location, close to many subway lines and between Akiba and Ueno which was walkable for both.

Pros: One of the quietest hotels I've stayed in in Japan
