Friendly staff, good location, rooms a bit hard to cool on warm days

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, great location near Shinagawa station and with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was quite spacious and you could even open the balcony doors and get out on the balcony - a lot of hotels have no windows that will open.

Cons: The room climate control didn't work, so it was hot and stuffy despite it being winter. There was a sign saying in winter only heating is available, no air conditioning. Despite us turning the thermostat down so the heating didn't activate and opening the balcony door for ventilation the display panel showed our room reached up to 27 degrees. The temperature in Tokyo might have been higher than average for winter. But still, we'd have expected a hotel in this price class to have full temperature control - heating or air conditioning - always available to keep the rooms at a normal temperature.

Pros: Short walk to station. The actual room was quite roomy even with a third added bed. Lobby was large, staff friendly.

Cons: Buffet breakfast was quite expensive so we skipped it

Close to Shinagawa, big rooms but really old

Pros: This used to be a fancy hotel but it is really rather old now. Happens in Japan a lot. Good stuff: big rooms, nice view and a balcony, 7 eleven in the hotel, quiet a short walk to Shinagawa station. Very comfortable bed.

Cons: Not all employees are nice, it depends. And this is also typical for prince hotels. I just find that hotel is too big and I feel it is too much for me. Also the furniture is really old.

Gorgeous facility, comfortable rooms and attentive staff

Pros: Grand beautiful hotel - clean, very attentive staff, gorgeous grounds. My daughter was unwell and the staff let us check in early and check out late. It was the most comfortable bed and a good large size room.

A great option, close to Haneda airport.

Pros: This hotel was a very last minute stay after a cancelled flight. We booked after 10pm and arrived just before midnight, the staff friendly and the rooms very comfortable. The location was great - a short walk to the station which was fabulous give we had a day to spare in Tokyo.
