Pros: This Ryokan has a lovely atmosphere. Welcoming and relaxed. The building still has a lot of the original charm and architectural details intact. Helpful staff as well. Thank you for a nice stay!

Pros: Everything! The place is an old and beautiful real ryokan in Tokyo it was a real home for us and a the owner a very kind person. Taito ryokan is a silent place where you sleep on tatami. You can have a warm tea and you have a fridge for your own food for breakfast. Subaway is a walking distance, Asakusa and Kuramae just there.

Cons: Nothing I didn’t like.

The first place we stayed when we arrived.location great, easy to find, lots of places to eat & do around the hotel

Pros: The closeness to the centre of Tokyo and to the metro station. The showers were amazing and the Ryokan was a nice place to stay

Cons: Nothing, it was great for the price paid

Traditional japanese experience, near of the essencials.

Pros: The location is great, with easy walking access, near Tawaramachi Street, and all the essentials you need. The ryokan was comfortable and adequate in every aspect, if you know what to expect about sleeping on a tatami. Great place if you want to live a traditional Japanese experience. There's a little room to chill, read some manga, drink tea, and just relax.

Cons: Having a washlet toilet would have been great, since the ryokan is a bit old. Nevertheless, everything functioned perfectly. Everything was clean, but some of the futons were a bit old as well.

Lovely stay in Asakusa and value for money

Pros: Great location near all the attractions of Asakusa. Friendly and helpful staff, who answered all our questions both online and in person. Comfortable futon.

Cons: Nothing!

Absolutely charming

Pros: The old wood charm, the sliding screens, the tatami mats... it's everything I imagined when I heard the word Ryokan. The host is very helpful, gracious, and also unobtrusive. He's also put together lots of great info packs for the area. Things were delightfully old, but also very clean and in working order. You really can't beat the location, and it was a fantastic experience. I'm so grateful we gave it a shot instead of an anonymous hotel! Also, the rooms have great aircon - might be anachronistic, but totally worth it. There's a share fridge, microwave, and kettle in the communal space downstairs.

Cons: Totally my own fault - the \

Perfect and economical for 2 days when you are new in Tokyo.

Pros: Location was perfect. Little small for comfort but worth the stay due to the location., and very economical in the Asakusa area. A traditional Japanese home stay experience which was exciting for us when compared to hotel stays.

Cons: Cash only for transactions, and no frills to expect.
