Asakusa Ryokan Toukaisou

Just 200 metres from Kappabashi-dori Street, the entirely non-smoking Asakusa Ryokan Toukaisou provides air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and a private bath. Close Proximity to Asakusa!

Pros: We stayed for one night and the tatami room was great! The futon was comfy~ I left some tea in the room and they were kind enough to contact me about it after I checked out, I am very grateful~

Cons: There was a slight smell of smoke in the corridor and on the pillow.

Pros: We had an awesome stay at Toukaisou Ryokan. The room was nice and the bed very confortable. The location is great and we could easily reach the main landmarks of Tokyo by metro or by walking. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely like to stay there again!

An good experience in a great location at an affordable price.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. When an issue occurred, they immediately compensated me to correct it and apologised profusely. The room was very comfortable, and the location was exceptionally convenient.

Cons: The facilities were a little old and there was a faint, lingering smell of tabaco throughout the building. I was not overly keen on the shared fridge-freezer facilities.

Love this hotel!

Pros: Such a great hotel! It’s got some cool retro interior and the rooms are a great size! The location is perfect, so close to train stations, shopping areas, heaps of restaurants and Tokyo skytree and Senso-Ji temple. The best part about this hotel is the staff though, so friendly and helpful and make you feel so welcome, I will definitely be coming back to stay for my next trip

Pros: Really homely and nostalgiac, staff were very friendly and spoke good English, great location in asasuka near the station and temple.

Friendly hotel in great location.

Pros: Location to Asukasa alleys, shops, restaurants and temples was fabulous. Great area to eat out. Lovely staff made us welcome and the room was great, although small. There was a cupboard and shelf for clothes. We had two large luggage that fitted in the cupboard. Useful to have access to a fridge, kettle and microwave. Basic cups provided. We could do our own breakfast in our room. We loved our stay. We could leave our luggage at reception. Easy access to trains, so could reach Tokyo Central and airport from there. We would stay there again.

Cons: It was okay, but futons on the floor were firm. You need to be able to set up your own bed and get up from the floor.

Recommended budget stay in Asakusa

Pros: The hotel is just step away from the tourist spot yet in a quiet alley. It is so convenient to shop and dine in the area. The room is clean and comfy. It is spacious enough to open the luggage. There is share kettle, microwave and fridge for use too. Though no lift, the owner helped me carry the luggage up and place nicely in the room before checked in, and down from the 2nd floor when I checked out, for which I am very grateful.

Cons: Though not an issue for me, the toilet maybe abit narrow for tall and huge people.

Pros: It is a very quiet place to stay, the daily cleaning towel service was amazing, for the price you pay it's worth it! Good!
