Andon Ryokan is a 5-minute walk from Minowa Subway Station and a 20-minute walk from the historical Asakusa. This sort of property & the family who run it, bring an experience to life. So much more than somewhere to stay.

Pros: Cool, quirky and original interiors, exceptionally clean with very helpful friendly staff and lovely food. Excellent shower facilities with funky artwork., we were in low season so pretty much had the facilities to ourselves.. We were an adult family of 5 and all slept really well on the roll down beds. The really soft comfortable bedding was much appreciated after an exhilarating but very wet February day in Tokyo. We had a fabulous charcoal evening meal a short walk from Andon’s and there’s also a gorgeous bakery close by for extra treats.

Pros: Had a lovely stay in the traditional rooms. While there were shared toilet/shower facilities, there was never a wait. Hot tub was an added joy.

Amazing place and Amazing staff.

Pros: Beautiful Rooms and a very nice and cozy place. The staff were very amazing and accomodating. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed a very nice local area of japan which is not very croweded and only 30 minutes walk away from Asakusa. Or about 10 mins via the hibuya line.

Cons: Some of the European tourists would leave their underwear in the washing machine and walk with dirty shoes (instead of the slippers provided by the Ryokan free of charge) inside the bathroom.

It’s so worth it and love this ryokan! Would love to come back!

Pros: Breakfast is exceptionally good! Looking forward to it every day and makes my trip well nutritious! We loved the jacuzzi, which is huge and so relaxing after a whole day’s walk outside. Futon is comfortable and no need to share a duvet with my partner is awesome! They put lots of effort into the details like the comics in the bathroom, antiques around the staircases and kotatsu in the lounge!
