Ryokan Ichinao

Worth staying,good location, good quality.

Pros: We like the location was more traditional and not inside Tokyo , very quiet and easy to the Subway , it was good value of money. We like the amenities and also common spaces were clean all the time so we are happy.

Cons: The size of the room was very small for 4 people, I was expecting something a bit bigger, we all had luggage’s and we couldn’t fit everything inside, I recommend you make sure you check you have a bigger room If you are more of 2 people, for two nights was ok but the space was very small.

Affordable, great communication, 2 showers 8 toilets. We never had a problem grabbing a shower).

Pros: I liked that once we figured out you can get to the property via train at a closer location than shinjuku (make sure you walk from shinjuku once or you’ll miss the giant cat right after you exit the east gate from the station, piss alley is also near by, both are great to view at night) made it easier on the legs. The owner was amazing and super helpful. There are multiple drink vending machines close by, there is two drug stores/pharmacies within a 5 minute walk. Loads of restaurants close by. Easy access to everything!

Cons: It would have been nice if there was hand soap in all the dispensers at the property. Other than that everything was great.

Pros: Just a simple room with futons to roll out on the floor. Had good shared facilities like a big mirror with sinks and hair dryers. Good adjustable lighting so the light could be on low and not disturb people sleeping

Cons: Had some trouble checking in as we didn't recieve any check in info. We had to call a few numbers and had some trouble getting through but we did arrive late due to our flight and a staff member arrived within 15 minutes.

Pros: Clean, good location never a wait for shower and never hear any other guests

Cons: Could do with extra pillows

Pros: Nishi-shinjuku-gochome Sta.is closer by 350m away. Basics needs are okay, public areas are nice and neat/clean. Great value for the buck

Cons: We got the largest room that can fit 4 people and we're group of 3 and stayed few days. There was no place to sit other than our bed or on the floor, the bed frame was broken in half with sharp blade, the owner didn't even bother to repair or cover it, we had to put blanket on top of it so that we don't cuts on our foot. In addition, both mattresses were soft and can felt the springs easily, not so comfortable for myself and family. Especially the both mattresses literally just sits on the laminate floor so not really Japanese-western style on \

Will definitely come back!

Pros: The location was great, with several tube stations nearby. The property was really nice, the room is spacious and comes with mini fridge inside the room. They give you tooth brush when checking in (in case you forgot yours) and they have hairdryers for after the shower. It was nice to see that male and female showers are separate - and same for the toilets.

Cons: The check in time is quite late. However it’s understandable as there’s only one person cleaning all the rooms and common areas daily. In any case, there’s space to leave your suitcases before check in/after check out in case you want to go ahead and explore the city while waiting for 16:00

I was worried when I got there because there was no one to welcome me and I didn’t realize it was a self checkin ryokan.

Pros: I really enjoyed the quietness of the place. I really felt at ease. Thank you very much. I love the quietness of the area too.

Cons: I feel that the some guest was disrespectful and whilst everything was very clean, some guest left things in poor conditions in the bathroom, but I think it’s also the smell in the room that needs freshener because there is no air. The windows are sealed so I think air fresheners would be good. it was messy at the entrance, but I think it’s because of the guests that are sometimes not very respectful. The bathroom is very clean. And all amenities are very clean.

I love staying in Chinao Ryokan and will stay there again when I visit Tokyo again.

Pros: The space and location is perfect to travel around with nearby train stations, convenient stores and supermarket.

Cons: Upon checking in, we received no email regarding how to check in into our accommodation. I was lucky to have my brother who understands Japanese in order to communicate over the lodging. Self Check-in was a bit confusing at first but i will definitely will go for a 2nd time at the same place again.

I was delighted and satisfied of my stay

Pros: Ilike tje place snd the ambience wherein Jspam culture was preserved.

Cons: No stsff is around

Cons: No staff interaction or welcome, not very clear instructions on how to check in.
