Pros: Amazing stay! The location is perfect, staff is super nice, and everything was just excellent! The futon was very comfortable and the bedding even more so! Great value for money. Will definitely stay here again when I am back to Tokyo

Awesome stay with comfy futon and nice morning staff to chat with what your plans are for your day.
Pros: Close to the train station. Perfect to explore Tokio on a budget :). Tatami mat room with futon. Friendly and helpful staff. In a quiet sideroad far enough from the very busy mainroad with lot's of stores for easy food access etc. Very good price especialy if you stay with multiple people.
Cons: Some dated interior but that's just the nature of the building being older and it not being owned by a chain.

Comfortable, clean, excellent location
Pros: Clean, comfortable, extremely convenient location, friendly staff who spoke English. I am claustrophobic and loved having all this space to myself.
Cons: On the older side, steep steps to the second floor, the microwave is communal, toilet does not have a bidet.

Kindest owner, spacious room, perfect location.
Pros: This was one of our favourite places to stay in Japan. The owner is the sweetest person, very helpful and kind. He even offered to cook something for my husband when he was sick. The location is more than perfect. Close to 2 major train lines, walking distance from Kabukicho and the 3D giant cat (10-20min), you can go almost anywhere in Tokyo in 20-30min from here. Lots of restaurants and cafes, pharmacies, at least 4 convenience stores really close by. The price is almost unbelievable for the area and it's a traditional house with tatami mats so it's even more special. The room is spacious and there are 2 separate rooms for toilet and shower. (The only picture I took doesn't do it justice)
Cons: Nothing I can think of. I'll definitely book again in a heartbeat whenever I go back to Tokyo.

Amazing staff, clean rooms, authentic Japanese style and great location
Pros: Extremely friendly staff, very helpful shipping our luggage to Kyoto, was an easy experience. The room itself was as describe, the authentic Japanese experience. Comfortable, good location, clean and great staff. Would highly recommend.

Pros: It was our first trip to japan and we have a wonderful stay. The location was great. I mean it was near to Shinjuku and Shin Okubo Station is like a short walk. But it was very quiet, which helps to relax. A big plus point was the eldery owner/host. We felt very welcome and it was like coming home. Because we like it so much, we booked it for a second time!
Cons: We are overall very happy, so we don't have many negative point. I think, one negative point is the stair way. Especially if you bring big luggages, it can be tricky. But we managed it. One thing is, which is for us is not a problem, is that the building is a bit older. But I think, with the lovely hosts and cleanliness, it will make it up for it.
