Good for the pruce

Pros: Close to main station in Ikebukuro. Good coffee on site as well as the Japenese bath

Cons: Having to plan around curfew hours and availability of bath.

Value for money, clean and good experience ryokan

Pros: It changed my mind about shared bathroom, it’s our first time staying in a non private bathroom. It’s clean, functional in every way, water pressure & heater works well , place to hang clothes, yukata, amenities, automated toilet seat with warmer , washer and the special wooden bath for relaxation was an unforgettable experience for my family.

Cons: We have stayed in ryokan prior and the mattress were thin and pillow not functional I would say, flatten the moment u put your head on it, no support, I had a neck ache next day

Perfect place to make your stay in Tokyo comfortable:)

Pros: This is Japanese style hotel so we slept on futons - super comfortable!!! The sheets are sooo clean and white and crisp ! Shared toilets and showers on each floor are also very clean. There is a dining room to use on the ground floor so you can buy some food and eat it there comfortably. The location is superb ! We like Ikebukuro very much for great connections and Yamanote Line, it’s about 10 min walk to the station. The staff is extremely nice and helpful 😍 It’s recommendable to reserve the hot tub one day in advance if you want to use it between 21:00-24:00 The coffee in their Kimi Natural 73+ Cafe is SUPERB 🤩🤩🤩

Cons: The showers are a bit cold and neglected, still very clean.

Really nice

Pros: Lovely Ryokan style hostel. The staff were really accommodating and kind. Nice little café offering great single origin coffee. 7 minutes walk from Ikebukuro station.

Nice small ryokan, convenient location to visit Tokyo

Pros: Nice traditional ryokan with a nice cafe, clean rooms, toilets and bathrooms, convenient location in a nice neighborhood and close enough from metro stations to visit Tokyo

Cons: The room were very small with hardly any place left to open our luggages, the price proposed to store our luggage was very expensive but fortunately our previous hotel proposed to store them for free before shipping them to the ryokan, and not all the staff was not very fluent in English so if was not always easy to ask for information / make requests.
