APA Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower

Conveniently located hotel with great amenities.

Pros: The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the subways, and if you need to commute to Haneda airport, it is a 1 minute walk to the closest Limousine Bus Terminal. I liked how close this hotel was to convenience stores, restaurants, and other cool things in Kabukicho. It’s also a 10 minute walk to stores like Uniqlo, Onitsuka Tiger, and the Loft.

Cons: Weird smell in the bathroom, but nothing other than that. It can get noisy at night. I would not recommend staying here if you have young kids.

Good choice of hotel in busy area with compact but well organised rooms

Pros: Close to all the sites and shops and nightlife in Shinjuku. Loved using the onsen at the end of the day. Great amenities in the bathroom. Room was compact but well organised.

Cons: The area was good for nightlife but that meant it was also a bit noisy. The heating/cooling was centrally controlled so unable to make changes to room temperature .

Good location, interesting area, handy to train station

Pros: The room was small but adequate for two people. Good luggage storage under the bed, bathroom was very small and climbing in and out of the shower / tub for an older person may be challenging. We stayed 6 nights and only comment was it was generally noisy from the activity outside, even from the 20th floor, but its a big busy city afterall, so all part of the experience.

2nd time here, will stay again, great location

Pros: Great location, nice helpful staff, clean rooms - Good hotel

Cons: Rooms are very small, very little flexibility around early check in or late check out which isn't ideal for travellers with flights at any time of the day

Cons: A bit of street noise so bring earplugs if you’re not used to it like us.

Pros: It was very well located, the room was clean and perfectly organized. The onsen is the cherry on the cake

Cons: Sometimes you wait a long Time For the elevator. The staff is correct and nice but not super welcoming.

Pros: Clean and simple. Perfect for long days in the city shopping. Starbucks out the front door.

Pros: Very near to Shinjuku station. Convenient if you go by either JR (if you have the JR Pass) or by Metro.

Cons: The room was quite small for 2 people.
