Amazing hotel in Ueno

Pros: Fantastic hotel, exactly as described. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and didn’t mind my lack of Japanese. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay when you first get to Japan. Ueno has amazing restaurants and eateries, the Family Mart (7/11) around the corner has everything you need, overall very happy I booked this hotel. Will definitely be back

Pros: It was very nice, clean and cozy. They had everything you may need. Front desk is very nice and welcoming and the room has a very vintage Japanese aesthetic. Loved it.

Cons: No complaints at all. Was good value for the price.

Very good location

Pros: We stayed at 2 nights, the room is medium size but it is comfortable, very good location, walking distance only to ameyoko shopping market, halal restaurant, and ueno station, the staff hotel also good and helpful.

Pros: VERY Good location. Room was big enough. Went with my wife n 2 daugthers. Booked 2 Rooms. The rooms were comfortable.

Cons: The location was convenient but very near a super touristy area. So there were alot of people in the next street.

Good value if on a budget

Pros: Very good location close to both Keisei Ueno Station and JR Ueno Station. Many food choices at different price points. Short walk to Takeya for groceries, souvenirs, cosmetics, Daiso, etc. Pleasant staff.

Cons: The shower curtain smelled funky and there was also a bit of mold on the bathroom door lock. I went in December and the air-conditioning didn't seem to work or wasn't strong, so I had to open my window to cool my room. Wifi was also not available in the room, only in the lobby.

HIGH value for money with decent, spaceous room and top-notch location!

Pros: HIGHLY recommendable. A really nice, little hotel with rooms of very decent size for what one might expect of Japan. Top value-for-money I would say. All necessary amenities, a large and comfy bed (for one tall person). Bath facilities in the basement were decent. And the LOCATION would win anything even if the above was less positive. Smack central in the Ueno district, tons of life around, bars, restaurants and walking distance to all the Ueno park tourist places. Will definitely return.

Cons: The wifi outside the lobby was more or less non-existant - in practice there but too slow for any practical use (I would expect this to be fixed in the near future). The window was closed but a sliiightly drafty and with poor sound insulation from outside. Not a major drawback - or noise - as the room didn't face the street, but some may find this less than ideal.
