Hotel Resol Ueno

Excellent location

Pros: The location of the hotel is just a few minutes from the JR station.

Pros: Great location. Clean modern room. Perfect for 1 night. Great restaurants close by.

Cons: Rooms are small, but ok for 1 night.

Quiet humble abode and close to trains, markets and shopping.

Pros: The variety of food in the foyer where you could relax and also the space that you could relax in. The staff were friendly also.

Cons: Needs a bigger sign as we missed it when we first checked in.

Cosy, comfy, short stay

Pros: We knew it would be small because we were aware of it so I like that they let us know about that which I appreciate that very much

Cons: Nothing I could not find any faults - other than I forgot to pack my umbrella and the hotel has spare ones for us to use which is fabulous!

Took great care of me when I arrived with food poisoning!

Pros: Food available during the day time was an awesome surprise and it was tasty I actually showed up with food poisoning and the staff was so kind and helpful. I even had a bag of sick with me from getting sick on the street. I had to check in still but had dropped off my luggage prior. They led me to the lobby bathroom so i can take a moment there. I was grateful for how clean it was as I was still sick. Then 2 staff members helped me bring my luggage to my room so I didn't have to touch a thing. One lady was even comforting me while they prepared my key. 10/10 appreciate who checked me me.

Convenient location

Pros: The accommodation is conveniently situated, proximate to the station and local amenities. The room may be considered compact, yet suitable for a single occupant's stay.

Cons: The air-conditioning is facing the front head of the bed, very hard to adjust the position of wind angle, end up need to close the air-condition. The hair dryer very hard to use and super loud.

Pros: Location was literally next to Ueno station Room was clean and comfortable

Cons: Room was quite small, though on par with typical Tokyo ones

Small but well-equipped hotel

Pros: The location was superb and was a quick 5 min walk from Ueno Station (Take the Akasaka Exit). There are several convenience stores nearby and plenty of dining options. The rooms are well-equipped and I enjoyed the hotel amenities - there is a laundry room on Level 2 and a free soup and croissant bar at the lobby. I also loved that I could rent Refa hair tools free-of-charge from the reception staff! Ueno Park is a stone’s throw away, which made it easy for me to go on my morning runs. Highly recommend this hotel for solo female travellers. The surroundings are well-lit and I felt safe even when I had to leave the hotel early in the morning.

Cons: I didn’t encounter anything I did not like during my stay.

Pros: Fantastic staff. Fantastic place to stay if you want to access to shinkansen.

Cons: Room is way too small unfortunately even tho this is normal in japan

Excellent Hotel will definitely stay there on next visit
