Great Location - Ueno Kensei Station & 7 Eleven.

Pros: great location, great staff. Beds were comfortable. Great view of the lake.

Cons: Pillows were okay. Always have an issue with pillows in Japan though.

Good spot in Ueno

Pros: Great location right beside Keisei Ueno Station, short walk to Ueno station. Comfortable mattress. Nice view. Good toilet and water pressure in the shower. Lots of food options close by and a 7-11 a few doors down.

Cons: Room was definitely not sound proof. Could hear everything- people talking, laughing, snoring, banging around. The bed did not have storage space beneath and was very low to the ground, so my suitcase had to sit out in the narrow floor space. Cleaners are active on the floor for most of the day - so don't expect to be able to sleep in or have a nap during the day. Reception Staff were polite, but seemed unhappy.

Pros: Right next to the train station, lots of convenience stores nearby, beautiful park next door. Air conditioning was good. nice view. lots of free amenities.

Cons: a bit small

Pros: The hotel is very close to transport, food and shopping. The hotel facilities are clean and well maintained. The room cleaning service is thorough, and the luggage service is very helpful too!

Cons: Sometimes the lifts would get busy with customers, so you’d have to wait a few minutes.

Good location for sightseeing in Tokyo

Pros: Location was super convenient as it's next to Ueno station and you can get a train direct from the airport to Ueno. Also close to a lot of restaurants, Ueno park and can easily access the metro.

Cons: Room and toilet/shower were very tight in terms of space which is to be expected in Tokyo.

Great stay, would stay again.

Pros: Great location, very close to train station and Ueno park. Room was clean and tidy. Roomier than we thought it would be considering Tokyo hotel rooms are very small. The window opened and had a nice outlook onto the park. Lots of food options in a very close walking distance to the hotel. Skyliner train to and from Narita airport is right across the road.

A wonderful location in Tokyo.

Pros: Though room was small, it was very comfortable. The bed is awesome. Very soft. The toiletries are very comprehensive and I like the shaving razor and toothbush that was supplied by the hotel. Though we did not have a view and there was construction going on in the next building, the location of the hotel was outstanding. It was very near Ueno Park with its many shrines, temples, museums and the Ueno Zoo. The station for the the JR and the subway lines are very near and one can easily access great places in Tokyo such as Asakusa, Hibiya Park, Tsukiji and Shinjuku. Places beyond Tokyo like Kamakura, Yokohama and Kawagoe that are good for a day trip are very accessible. Another great attraction nearby is the Ameyoko Shopping Street which is a little more than a hundred meters away.

Cons: The 10 am checkout time is too early. I wish the hotel would extend the checkout to 12 noon like the other hotels. There are only two elevators, which can get very crowded, especially during checkout and in the evenings. I wish there were at least four elevators in the building. The management should also take note of some of the furniture in the rooms. The chair in my room had sharp edges in its lower legs, and I scratched myself. Management should smooth out the rough edges in that chair.
