Pros: The staff was very helpful. I like it cause it is just next to keisei station. Room is quite spacious for a single room.

Pros: Staff can speak english and are helpful. Room facilities are decent with air conditioning and hot water. Room is of a decent size. Fridge, towels and toiletries are provided. Location of hotel is very good, right outside the Keisen Skyliner train station exit. Lots of food and shopping around and Ameyoko Market is just around the corner.

Cons: Room is bit dated. There are no spoons or cutleries provided in the room. Just a cup, plates and a kettle. Could provide some cutleries.

Hotel Kangetsuso was very comfortable

Pros: Hotel Kangetsuso was very friendly and comfortable and exceeded my expectations for the price. I would recommend it. The reception staff were very friendly. We were greeted with complimentary coffee sachets and free sample cosmetics as a welcome gift. The room was simple but had everything we needed and more, with shampoo and slippers and bathrobes (we had an en suite double room). Water pressure was good in the shower. Location was excellent being immediately opposite an Ueno station exit, very easy to get to from Narita airport.

Cons: The neighbouring building, which our window faced, was being demolished (this was in April 2025). This caused some noise disturbance in the mornings.

Our stay was great and convenient. The staff were very helpful and polite.

Pros: The property was spacious and clean. The Ueno and Keisei-Ueno stations were close by, which was very convenient. Lots of great shops and restaurants within walking distance. Right next to ueno park which is great to explore!

Fantastic value for money for a stopover in Ueno or for urban explorers.

Pros: Amazing location right in the heart of Ueno. Great value for money with friendly, efficient staff. Clean facilities. Wifi had strong speeds for free hotel internet.

Cons: Beds aren't the most comfortable.
