Tokyu Stay Takanawa Shinagawa Area

Pros: Decent sized room and bathroom. The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. It is in a good location, close to Sengakuji, Takanawa Gateway and Shinagawa stations. Our room came with a kettle, fridge, microwave and even a washer/dryer, which was very useful at the end of a long trip!

2nd stay and to many more

Pros: It was accessible for us to reach to and from Haneda airport. 2 different Tokyo lines (Asakusa & Yamanote) was also accessible for us to commute around Tokyo. Staffs were kind and helpful. We really like that the hotel was able to receive and store our luggages when we shipped it from Okayama. And they were able to help us with luggage forwarding to Haneda airport so we can travel fuss free without having to worry about dragging it there.

Pros: Really convenient location and having a washing machine and microwave makes life easier for longer stays.

Cons: I wish they had a proper desk chair as I had to work on my laptop. Also there were no shelves or drawers for clothes - at least not in my grade room. That would’ve made stay even more practical.

Pros: Super close to public transport and situated in a nice area.

Lovely stay

Pros: Good room, moderately spacious and it was a blessing in disguise to have a washing machine and dryer in the room.

Good place to stay.

Pros: Location was good for local trains and just one stop from Shinagawa station from which we departed for Osaka. The only slight negative is that there was not much activity going on, so to get to a selection of restaurants, we had to take public transport, but no big deal really. There were restaurants just outside the Takanawa Gateway Station, but we prefer local ones. Washing machine/dryer in room was very good because we were there for a week. The room was not huge but was better than in Kyoto and Osaka. It is quite well priced.

Cons: There was nothing that we did not like.

Polished accommodations with more upsides than downsides

Pros: The accommodations were outstanding, service staff were helpful and went out of their way to satisfy our every requests. Location has decent access to the rest of Tokyo by public transport

Cons: It's in a quieter neighborhood which means dining options are more limited.

Pros: Very good value with friendly staff, great amenities too. The hair products and hair dryer are also premium which I appreciate!!

Pros: Very convenient and comfortable hotel. Good location, decent room size (for Tokyo! still a bit small), easy and convenient laundry. Staff is nice and they do some convenient services like luggage forward/ hold.

Cons: I'm happy that daily cleaning is not the default, but for such a small room, weekly cleaning is not often enough. I wasn't able to request it any more frequently which did bother me. 2-3-4 days would be the sweet spot i feel.
